Peanut Butter Banana Pretzel Brownies - all the best flavor-combinations for chocolate in one healthy brownie recipe! These easy pretzel brownies are also gluten free, completely flourless, and made in a blender - as easy as it gets.
Ingredients
2mediumBananas, 240g, 1 cup mashed
½cupPeanut Butter, Creamy 128g
¼cupApplesauce, 60g, see post for subs
1Egg
⅓cupCacao Powder, or Unsweetened Cocoa
3Tbsp1:1 Sugar Substitute, or regular sugar
1TbspBaking Powder
1bagKay’s Protein Pretzel Sticks, 34g, 1.2oz
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F, and line a 8” x 8” brownie pan or baking dish with parchment paper.
Add banana, peanut butter, applesauce and egg in a blender or food processor and blend until combined.
In a small bowl, whisk cacao powder, sugar replacement and baking powder until uniform.
Add dry ingredients into blender/food processor and pulse until evenly mixed.
Pour ⅔ batter into prepared pan and spread. Evenly spread chopped pretzels, reserving a few. Pour remaining batter.
Top with additional pretzels. Optionally, add dollops of peanut butter and swirl.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Allow to cool completely (about 30 minutes) before slicing or they might be too soft.
