Churro Waffle Sticks is how you can have churros for breakfast and still be healthy. All that cinnamony, sugary, deliciousness without any of the deep frying. Pair it with a chocolate sauce and you're sure to have a great day ahead.
Preheat and lightly grease and preheat square waffle iron or waffle stick maker.
In a small bowl, combine and uniformly mix flour, baking powder, sweetener and salt.
In a large bowl, whisk together almond milk, egg, melted butter and vanilla extract.
Add dry ingredients to wet, and stir gently to combine, pressing along the side of the bowl to remove large clumps. Don’t over-mix, there will still be small clumps, but those are expected.
Pour ⅙ batter into prepared waffle iron.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes or according to manufacturer instructions.
Remove from waffle from iron and separate into sticks.
In a small bowl combine cinnamon powder and sweetener packets and sprinkle over the waffle sticks while they’re still hot.
Repeat with remaining batter.
Combine ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and stir.
Dip the sticks in that sauce and enjoy while they’re hot and crispy!
