Unbelievable Chocolate Protein Donut Holes with just 5 ingredients and the best macros/nutrition label. These healthy chocolate donut holes are made with protein powder and made in the air fryer (or baked). Great treat for sure!
Ingredients
6TbspWhole Wheat Pastry Flour, 45g see post for sub
½cupChocolate Protein Powder, 45g
1TbspUnsweetened Cocoa Powder, 5g
1tspBaking Powder
½cupNon-fat Greek Yogurt, 112g
Protein Yogurt Glaze
1TbspNon-fat Greek Yogurt, 14g
1TbspUnsweetened Almond Milk
2tspVanilla Protein Powder, 4g
Instructions
In a food processor, whole wheat pastry flour, chocolate protein powder, baking powder, cocoa powder and baking, and blitz to combine.
Add yogurt and process until combined to form a dough ball; Stop as soon as ball forms.
Lightly flour a work surface, transfer dough to surface and knead until smooth - about 7-10 seconds.DO NOT OVER-MIX or the protein powder will make the donut holes tough.
Divide dough into 12 pieces and roll into balls; Use slightly wet palms.
Spray inside of air fryer basket with cooking spray, and place donut in.Leave sufficient gap and work in batches if needed.
Cook at 325°F for 7-8 minutes (or bake 350°F for about 10 minutes).
Protein Yogurt Glaze:
In a bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, almond milk and protein powder.
Add donut holes to bowl and toss to coat.
Transfer to cooking rack or plate to cool completely.
