Healthy Eggnog French Toast is perfect for your Christmas breakfast special. High protein Eggnog French Toast made with protein powder and egg white instead of sugar and eggs!
Ingredients
4slicesBrioche Bread, about 112g
½scoopVanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein 15g
⅓cupEggnog, Almond Milk-based recommended, 80ml
1Tbsp + 1 tspAlmond Milk, or other, 20ml
1½Egg White, 45g
⅛tspNutmeg
Olive Oil Spray for greasing
Instructions
In a large shallow bowl or container whisk together eggnog, milk, egg whites, vanilla protein powder and nutmeg.
Place sliced bread in mixture and let soak for about 2-3 minutes. Flip, and soak other side for another 2-3 minutes.
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-low and spray with cooking spray.
Place soaked bread on pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, flip, and cook other side for another 2 minutes.Cook one slice at a time if using a small skillet.
Serve with whipped cream or your choice of toppings.
