Rich and chocolatey Kefir Brownies with extra high protein, low sugar and low fat! Chocolate Kefir protein brownies use protein powder, monkfruit and stevia for a sugar free recipe.
Ingredients
½cupWhole Wheat Pastry Flour, 60g, see post for subs
½cupUnsweetened Cocoa Powder, or Cacao Powder, 40g
⅓cupChocolate Protein Powder, Whey-Casein, 30g
⅓cupChocolate Protein Powder, Plant Based or Whey, 30g
¼cupUnflavored Whey-Casein Protein Powder, 22g
2TbspZero Calorie 1:1 Sugar Replacement, 24g
Stevia Sweetener, ¼ cup sugar worth (Use your brand's Conversion Chart)
⅔tspBaking Soda
1¼cupLow Fat Chocolate Kefir, 300g
⅓cupUnsweetened Almond Milk, 80ml
3TbspAlmond Butter or Tahini, 48g, see post for recommendation
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8” x 8” brownie pan or baking dish with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, chocolate protein powders, unflavored protein powder, zero calorie sugar replacement, stevia sweetener, and baking soda.
In a large bowl, whisk together kefir, almond milk and almond butter.
Add dry mix to wet, and gently fold until just combined.DO NOT OVER-MIX or protein powder will make the brownie dense.Batter should be thick.
Transfer batter into pan, smoothen with a spatula or back of spoon.
Bake for 27-30 minutes or until the top is set. Toothpick inserted into the center should come out slightly damp.
Remove from oven and let cool completely.Cut into slices and enjoy!
