Protein Powder Waffles are a great way to get that post-workout protein in. Either light and airy or dense and fluffy, they're much better than a regular protein shake!
Ingredients
1scoopVanilla Protein Powder, ⅓ cup, about 30g
½tspBaking Powder
1Egg
1tspCoconut Oil, Melted, or other
3TbspWater, or more depending on protein powder
Instructions
Preheat and lightly grease waffle iron.
In a small bowl, combine and uniformly mix protein powder and baking powder.
In a large bowl whisk egg, oil and water as required to thin the batter out.
Pour half batter into prepared waffle iron. Do not fill it all the way to the top or the batter will spill out.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes or according to manufacturer instructions.
Remove from waffle iron and repeat with remaining batter.
Notes
Make sure you don’t overfill the waffle iron. Use less batter than you would for a regular waffle since these rise a lot and the batter will spill out.
