Peanut Butter Protein French Toast Sticks are a delicious and healthy breakfast everyone will love. Made with whole wheat bread and protein powder, PB French Toast sticks are a high fiber, lower calorie and low sugar option.
Ingredients
2slicesWhole Wheat Bread, 56g
2TbspAlmond Milk, or other, 30ml
1Egg
1Egg White
2TbspVanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein 11g
1TbspPeanut Butter, Maple Syrup flavored PB recommended below, 14g
Olive Oil Spray for greasing
Instructions
Use a pizza cutter or serrated knife to cut each slice of bread into 4 strips each.
In a blender, combine protein powder, milk, egg and egg white.Pour into wide shallow bowl or pot.
Add peanut butter and whisk.
Place bread in mixture and let soak for about 2-3 minutes. Flip, and soak other side for another 2 minutes.
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-low and spray with cooking spray.
Place soaked bread on pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, flip, and cook other side for another 2 minutes.Cook in batches if using a small skillet.
Serve with powdered sugar, more Peanut Butter and berries or your choice of toppings.
