Layered Apple Pie Protein Jar is perfect for a healthy Thanksgiving party. Low fat, low sugar graham base, high protein yogurt mix and cinnamon sugar apples!
Ingredients
Crust:
2sheetsGraham Crackers, Crushed, 15g
½TbspAlmond Butter, 8g
1tspSugar Free Maple Syrup, 5ml
Apples:
¾cupChopped Apples, 84g
2TbspWater, 30ml
½TbspZero Calorie Brown Sugar, 6g, or regular
⅛tspCinnamon
Protein Yogurt:
⅔cupNon-fat Greek Yogurt, 150g
⅓cupVanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein, 30g
1TbspAlmond Milk, 15ml
Instructions
Apples:
Heat small skillet over medium heat, add apples, 1 Tbsp water, sugar, cinnamon, and cook about 3-4 min until slightly caramelized (shaking every now and then).
Transfer to plate and let cool 5 min.
Crust:
In a bowl or food processor, combine Graham crackers, almond butter and syrup - little at a time - to form thick crumbles.
Protein Yogurt:
Combine Greek yogurt, protein powder and milk (add little at a time) until smooth.
Assemble:
Layer the jars: graham mix, protein yogurt, apples, yogurt, graham, apples.
Place in fridge for 20-30minutes, then remove and enjoy.
