Easy Crispy Grilled Polenta Bites are a great way to use up precooked or tubed polenta; Tender insides and crunchy outsides, these cakes are a perfect party appetizer!
Ingredients
½packagePrepared Tube Polenta, 250g
1tspOlive Oil
⅛tspSalt
⅛tspBlack Pepper
Instructions
Slice polenta into ½” thick coins and cut into bite-size pieces (about 6 per slice).
Heat a large non-stick grill pan or gas grill over medium and lightly grease with oilve oil, butter or cooking spray.
Add chopped polenta in an even layer cook each side about 5-7 minutes (about 15 minutes total) until browned, crisp and grill marks appear.
Season with salt and pepper, garnish with cilantro and serve hot with your favorite dip!
Notes
If using freshly cooked polenta:
Pour freshly cooked polenta into parchment-lined baking pan/sheet or glass pan to about ½” thick.
Allow to cool completely, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight until set and hardened.
