Delicious Snickerdoodle Power Protein Smoothie with a dose of fiber and healthy fat from flaxseeds and almond butter. Perfectly sweet and creamy (with cauliflower and no banana) this protein shake tastes just like a fresh cinnamon cookie!

After recently discovering that you can use frozen cauliflower and zucchini in place of banana to make the same sort of creamy milkshakes and smoothies, I’ve been on quite a roll with them.

Or should I say on a Cinnamon Roll? Lol

Well anyway, this was a very unplanned recipe. I just wasn’t feeling a savory dinner the other night, but had to get my veggies (and protein) in somehow. So I put that geniosity to good use.

Threw in a handful of the frozen vegetables, protein powder, cinnamon – and chia seeds coz why not – into a blender and created this.

It was so good I had to make it again and turn it into a blog post!

Make this healthy and sugar free protein packed green spinach avocado smoothie with no banana, but protein powder and frozen cauliflower and zucchini instead.

Snickerdoodle Cauliflower Smoothie Recipe Ingredients

This cinnamon roll flavored protein smoothie is uses frozen cauliflower and zucchini, instead of banana to get the thick volume – A bunch of nutritional benefits but no sugar!

  • Frozen cauliflower gives it the creaminess and volume along with nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
  • Frozen zucchini or some more cauliflower.
  • Vanilla Protein Powder is source of protein and sweetness in this smoothie. I used Quest Nutrition vanilla protein powder for this recipe.
  • A bit of Greek Yogurt for added protein and creamy texture.
  • Flaxseed meal adds in healthy fats, fiber and protein and also some thickness
  • Almond Butter because nuttiness is good 🙂
  • Cinnamon for a warm cinnamon roll flavor
  • Almond Milk to get the blender running and keep this cinnamon roll smoothie sugar free, dairy free, paleo friendly and vegan too. You can replace it with another dairy-free milk or regular milk too.
This Keto friendly green spinach smoothie is made with protein powder and is a great recipe for beginners looking for a sweet sugar fee smoothie without banana.

Make this easy frozen cauliflower cinnamon roll protein shake

This sweet cinnamon roll flavored protein smoothie is super easy to make and perfect for beginners!

All you need to do is throw together all the ingredients in a blender, and run it for about 30 seconds or so.

Add some more milk if your frozen cauliflower and zucchini squash are too large – you want a creamy smoothie, and not chunky!

Meal Prep this Keto Cauliflower Zucchini Protein Smoothie

You can meal-prep this cinnamon protein milkshake for a creamy and healthy breakfast on-the-go or pre-workout fuel.
Portion out all the ingredients into resealable zipper bags and keep them in the freezer ready to blend into smoothies or smoothie bowls!

If you have any leftover of this weight loss smoothie, you can store them in the fridge in a sealed container or bottle for up to a day.

Made thick and creamy with the avocado and frozen vegetables, this green smoothie uses almond milk, making it one of the best ideas for a vegan, paleo, sugar free and dairy free protein.

Tips for Cinnamon Bun Cauliflower Protein Smoothie or Bowl

  • Steam, blanch or rice the cauliflower before freezing it. This prevents “freezer burn” and loss of nutrients.
  • Peel the zucchini before freezing to avoid specks of green.
  • Use a high speed blender with sharp blades so it can actually cut into the frozen vegetables.
  • Add in more protein powder if your smoothie is not sweet enough – each brand is different.
  • Add more milk if you want a thinner healthy snickerdoodle protein milkshake or a smoothie bowl.

Other Healthy Ingredients ideas for the Cinnamon Vanilla Protein Smoothie

  • Chia Seeds in place of flax seeds for the same healthy fats and fiber – or just add this too!
  • Hemp Seeds for another source of healthy fats, protein and omega 3s an 6s
  • Collagen Peptides powder as a replacement for protein powder – You still have a high protein cinnamon cauliflower smoothie shake!
If your collagen is unflavored, add some vanilla extract and sugar-free sweetener.
  • Cashew Butter to replace the almond butter and make this snickerdoodle protein smoothie nut free too!
  • Coconut Yogurt for a Paleo and Vegan cinnamon protein shake!
  • Yellow or Summer Squash in place of the zucchini; It essentially has the same flavor and nutrient profile.
  • A ¼ cup of Rolled oats but this won’t be paleo, keto or low carb anymore, and you would also need to add more milk in this case
