The best Chocolate Chip Cookie Butter recipe made with real chocolate chip cookies, protein powder and peanut butter powder. An easy, healthy, high protein, low sugar and low fat cookie spread.

Since so many people loved my Protein Oreo Spread recipe in Instagram, I wanted to make another. I already had a protein biscoff spread, so I took another cookie – the classic chocolate chip cookie – and turned that also into a high protein cookie butter.

It’s basically like melting a chocolate chip cookie (as it it were chocolate) and being able to spread it on toast and such like a cookie butter.

Or maybe just eat it plain with a spoon? Either way, this

Ingredients for Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Butter

This high protein chocolate chip cookie butter is made with peanut butter and protein powder for a healthy recipe that you can indulge in without guilt. Here’s all you need.

  • Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies – Any crunchy choco chip cookie works here; Chips Ahoy Original would be perfect.
  • Vanilla Protein Powder; This is the source of protein and some sweetness in the protein powder cookie spread. I recommend a whey-casein blend from Quest Nutrition.
  • Peanut Butter Powder, also known as Powdered Peanut Butter.
I recommend Lakanto for a sugar free version (the code HAYLSKITCHEN gives you a discount). Or you could use the one from PbFit too.
  • Water

Vegan option?

Use thse Partake Vegan Choco Chip Cookies to replace the regular cookies.
Also use a plant-based protein powder; I recommend KOS Plant Vanilla Protein.
Taste and add stevia sweetener if needed.

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie spread?

Use Simple Mills Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies in place of regular cookies in this cookie butter.

Sugar Free Choco Chip Cookie Spread

If you want a sugar-free version of this choco chip cookie spread, replace the Chips Ahoy! with these ones from HighKey.

Extra Protein in this Chocolate Chip Cookie Spread

For better macros and extra protein in this chocolate chip cookie spread, use a protein cookie like this one from Quest. P.S. It isn’t crunchy, so I’m not sure how it will work in this recipe.

How to make Protein Chocolate Chip Cookie Butter Spread from Scratch?

To make protein chocolate chip cookie butter spread from scratch, all you need is 1 food processor, 2 minutes, and the 4 ingredients!

  1. Process the chocolate chip cookies in the food processor or blender.
  1. Add the protein powder, peanut butter powder and water – a little at a time – and process again until it forms a spread.

You might need less or more water depending on your protein powder brand, and whether you want a creamy or crunchy protein cookies and cream spread.
