Amazing soft baked Lucky Charms Protein Bars with cereal flavored protein powder, almond butter, and actual cereal. These healthy lucky charms treats are gluten free, low fat and low sugar too!

I was not sure what the hype with lucky charms cereal treats were, but I’m so glad I gave these a go!

Proper lucky charms cereal flavored bars with so much protein and low sugar. Actually healthy snack bars here.

Ingredients for Healthy Lucky Charms Protein Bars Recipe:

These lucky charms protein bars are made with simple healthy ingredients, have no sugar or milk, making them the perfect homemade gluten free, dairy free and sugar free protein bar!

Base for Homemade Lucky Charms Bars

  • Lucky Charms Cereal
  • Marshmallow Cereal Protein Powder – key for the high protein lucky charms bars.
  • I used Marshmallow Cereal protein powder here from HTLT Supps.
  • Oat Flour – You can make your own by blending rolled oats in a high speed blender
  • Unflavored Protein Powder to replace some of the flour (and carbs) in the recipe for a slightly lower carb high protein recipe. I recommend the Multi-purpose mix protein powder from Quest Nutrition.
  • Coconut Flour
  • Almond Milk
  • Get Lucky Almond Butter from American Dream! This is American Dream Nut Butter’s St. Patricks Day flavor: Get Lucky Almond Butter.
ADNB also has a lot of other almond butters that would go perfect here. Code HAYLSKITCHEN gets you a discount here!

The Protein Shake Milk and Cereal

  • Marshmallow Cereal Protein Powder for high protein marshmallow cereal bar, and also replace the sweetener.
I used HTLT Supps for this recipe.
  • Almond Milk
  • Lucky Charms Cereal

And for the Chocolate Topping:

  • White Chocolate Chips or Chopped Chocolate. I would recommend Lily’s to keep it sugar free.
  • Coconut Oil so the chocolate is easier to melt and more smooth when you drizzle.

Tips for Protein Powder Lucky Charms Bars

These protein powder lucky charms bars are really easy to make, but here’s some tips to get it right.

  • Use whey-caesin protein powder since it works well with the ratio of ingredients here.
If you use a whey protein powder, you might want to reduce the amount of milk to make it less.
  • Mix the base layer well to form a smooth mixture, but don’t over-mix since the protein powder might make the texture tough.
It should be like a dough.
  • Taste dough for sweetness; Add powdered sweetener or stevia if needed
  • Make sure the protein condensed milk layer is thick but spreadable. Add milk little at a time so it doesn’t get too runny.

To store Soft Baked Lucky Charms Cereal Bars

To store soft baked lucky charms bars, let cool, then place in an airtight container and keep on the counter for up to 2 days or the fridge for up to a 1 week.

To freeze, place healthy lucky charms cereal bars in airtight sealed container, or individually wrapped in plastic wrap and placed in zipper bag; Homemade lucky charms cereal protein bars should keep for 2 or 3 months. Be sure to let the protein bars thaw on the counter before eating!

Alternatives for Healthy Lucky Charms Treats without Marhmallows!

I made these sugar free and gluten free and low fat healthy lucky charms bars with this particular ingredient list, but here’s some other clean options to choose from.

  • Unflavored Protein Powder: Oat flour or Almond Flour. Start with less milk in this case.
  • Whey-Caesin Protein Powder: Use whey, but use less milk.
  • American Dream AB: Regular Almond Butter, Cashew Butter, Hazelnut Butter or even Tahini
  • Almond Milk: Regular milk or other non dairy milk
  • Marshmallow Cereal Protein Powder: Use Vanilla

Vegan Lucky Charms Bars recipe without Marshmallows

Since there’s no marshmallows in this lucky charms treats recipe, they can easily be made Vegan with the right ingredients.

Use a plant based protein powder to get a Vegan lucky charms cereal bar.

You also want to make sure you use dairy free chocolate chips to make these snack cereal bars.
