I was very skeptical with I came across it first, but MAN Naked Nutrition’s new Protein Brownie Mix really is amazing! Super high protein and low carb and low sugar, and a really good flavor too. 

You all probably know how particular I am when it comes to chocolate flavor and richness, and these brownies hit the nail on the head! Rich and loaded with chocolate chips too!

Ingredients for Easy Protein Brownies Recipe

To make these easy protein brownies with brownie mix, you only need 4 ingredients, since the mix is a just-add-water one.

  • Protein Brownie Mix! I used Naked Nutrition new Protein Brownie Mix
  • Water

The Chocolate Protein Frosting

  • Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt
  • Chocolate Protein Powder – I used whey-casein from Quest.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

How to make Protein Box Brownie Recipe

This protein box brownie recipe really is as simple as it gets. Combine the brownie mix and water in a bowl, and then bake! Don’t forget the frosting though!

  1. Mix boxed protein brownie mix and water in a bowl
  1. Trasfer to parchment-lined baking pan, bake 25 min at 350.
  1. Let brownie cool!
  1. Mix yogurt, protein powder and cocoa powder in a bowl.
    (Add a splash of milk if too dry, coconut flour if too wet)
  1. Spread frosting on brownie, slice and ejoy!

Tips for Easy Chocolate Protein Brownie Recipe

This chocolate protein brownie recipe are really simple to make, but here’s some pointers to get it perfect!

  • Don’t over-mix the batter or you’ll end up with a bad texture in the brownie.
  • Grease the baking pan as well as line with parchment paper so the brownie comes off easily.
  • Let brownie cool before frosting, or the frosting will melt away.
  • Don’t add too much yogurt in the frosting; It will come together; Just continue to mix.

How to Store Boxed Protein Brownies

These Boxed mix protein brownies must be stored in an airtight container.

  • Countertop: 1 days (overnight)
  • Fridge: 3-4 days
  • Freezer: Wrap each piece individually (or freeze individually on baking sheet), place them in freezer-safe zipper bags. They should last about a month!

Substitute Ingredients for Box Mix Protein Brownie Recipe:

Since this recipe uses a high-protein just-add-water protein brownie mix, you want to use that to keep the protein brownie base.

For the frosting, use Coconut Yogurt instead of Greek Yogurt if needed.

Ingredients

  • 256 g Naked Nutrition Protein Brownie Mix
  • ¼ cup Water, 60ml

Frosting:

  • ¾ cup Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt, 168g
  • ½ cup Chocolate Protein Powder, Whey-Casein, 45g
  • 1 tablespoon Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, 5g

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8” baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine brownie mix and water.
  • Gently fold to combine. Do not over-mix, the batter will be runny.

Frosting:

  • Let brownie cool completely.
  • In a bowl, combine yogurt, protein powder and cocoa powder.
    Spread over brownie.
